How to use our calculators

Our calculators turn the details of your job into a suggested parts list that you can add to your basket in one go. Each one is explained below, including what to measure before you start.

Lindab guttering parts calculator

Tell us about your gutter and downpipe job and we will suggest quantities for the colour and size you have chosen.

Before you start, measure

  • The total length of gutter, in metres, and how many separate runs it is split into.
  • The number of downpipes, and the height of each one in metres.
  • The number of external and internal corners, and whether each is 90° or 135°.
  • How each downpipe returns to the wall from the outlet, if it needs to.

How to use it

  1. Open the Lindab quick order page and choose your colour, gutter size and downpipe size at the top. The calculator works out quantities for these choices.
  2. Enter your measurements in the calculator: total gutter length, separate gutter runs, number of downpipes and their height, and your external and internal corners with their angles.
  3. Choose how the downpipe returns from the outlet to the wall: no return, a one-piece offset bend (50mm or 100mm kick-off), or two bends.
  4. Press Suggest quantities. The matching parts appear with a suggested quantity against each one.
  5. Check the list against your own drawings and change any quantity, then press Add to basket, or Add & keep building if you want to carry on adding parts.

Tip: the suggested quantities are a starting point. Always check them against your drawings and add spares where you want them.

Pro Clima airtightness kit estimator

Enter the areas and details of your build and we will suggest the Pro Clima membrane, tapes, grommets and adhesive you are likely to need. Prices shown are ex VAT.

Before you start, measure

  • The wall area and the roof or ceiling area, in square metres.
  • The number of windows and doors, and the average frame perimeter of each in metres. A 1.2m x 1.2m window has a perimeter of 4.8m, and a standard door is about 5.4m.
  • The length of internal corners and reveals that need corner tape, in metres.
  • The length of membrane edge that is fixed to masonry, concrete or rough timber, and the length of tape that goes onto dusty or absorbent surfaces.
  • Every cable and pipe that passes through the membrane: lighting and socket cables, soil and waste pipes, water and heating pipes, and ventilation ducts.

How to use it

  1. Membrane. Choose Intello Plus or DA, then enter the wall area, the roof or ceiling area and your allowance for laps and waste. The allowance starts at 10%, and you can change it.
  2. Windows and doors. Enter how many there are and their average frame perimeter. Tick the option to seal the outside of the frames too if you want the external tape added as well as the internal one.
  3. Corners and edges. Enter the metres of corner tape, of membrane edge that needs adhesive, and of tape going onto dusty or absorbent surfaces, which needs primer first. Leave these blank if they do not apply.
  4. Cables and pipes. Count single cables, twin cables, and pipes in the 30-50mm, 50-90mm and 100-120mm sizes.
  5. The suggested kit appears with prices. Change any quantity you want to, then add the whole kit to your basket.

Tip: the estimator has a “How we work this out” section that shows the allowances behind each item. It is a guide only, so please check it against your own drawings and the manufacturer's installation guidance.

Lindab quick order

The quick way to build a Lindab order without hunting through the catalogue. It is not a calculator, but it works well alongside the guttering calculator.

Two ways to use it

  1. Browse by colour and size. Choose your colour and size once and we list every matching Lindab part. Enter the quantities you want and add everything to your basket together, which avoids mixing sizes or colours part way through an order.
  2. Paste a list. If you already have product codes, paste one product per line with its code and quantity, for example RL2339 x 4 or RL2339, 4, then press Add list to basket. Only Lindab product codes are matched.

Saving your job

You can save your colour, sizes, calculator answers and quantities with Save this job and come back to them later. Saved jobs stay on the device and browser you saved them on, so they will not appear if you open the page on a different one.
