Getting quantities right is half the battle on any job. Order too little and you are waiting on a second delivery while the job stands still. Order too much and you are left with material you have paid for and do not need. To take some of the guesswork out of it, we have added three tools to the site.
Each one asks about your job, suggests a list of parts, and lets you add that list to your basket in one go. Here is what they do and how to get the best out of them.
Lindab guttering parts calculator
Guttering jobs have a lot of small parts, and it is easy to miss a stop end, a bracket or a corner. The Lindab guttering parts calculator works from a few measurements: the total length of gutter, how many separate runs it is split into, the number of downpipes and their height, and your external and internal corners.
Choose your colour, gutter size and downpipe size first, tell it how each downpipe returns to the wall, and press Suggest quantities. You get a parts list in the colour and size you picked, with a suggested quantity against each part. You can change any of them before you add everything to your basket.
Pro Clima airtightness kit estimator
An airtight build depends on the small details: the membrane, the tapes at every lap and junction, the seals around windows and doors, and the grommets where pipes and cables pass through. The Pro Clima airtightness kit estimator works through these in four steps.
- Membrane: choose Intello Plus or DA and enter your wall and roof or ceiling areas, with an allowance for laps and waste.
- Windows and doors: enter how many there are and their average frame perimeter.
- Corners and edges: enter the lengths needing corner tape, adhesive or primer.
- Cables and pipes: count each penetration through the membrane so the right grommets are included.
The estimator then suggests the membrane, tapes, grommets and adhesive, with prices, and you can add the whole kit to your basket. It also shows how it reached each figure, so you can see the allowances and adjust them if your job is different.
Lindab quick order
The Lindab quick order page is not a calculator, but it works well alongside one. Choose your colour and size once and it lists every matching Lindab part, so you are not mixing sizes or colours part way through an order. If you already have a list, you can paste in product codes and quantities, one per line, and add them all to your basket together.
Tips for better results
- Measure first. The suggestions are only as good as the numbers you put in. Take your measurements off site drawings or measure on site before you start.
- Check the list against your drawings. The calculators give you a sensible starting point, not a final specification. Look the list over, add spares where you want them, and change any quantity that does not look right.
- Count every penetration. On airtightness jobs, a missed cable or pipe means a missed grommet and a weak point in the membrane, so count them all.
- Save your job. On the Lindab page you can save your answers and quantities and come back to them later. Saved jobs stay on the device and browser you used.
Find them all in one place
You will find all three tools on our Calculators & Tools page. If you would like step-by-step help with what to measure and how to use each one, read our guide on how to use our calculators.
Quantities from our calculators are suggestions, so please check them against your own drawings and specification before you order.
